The theme for the 4^th National Workshop on Civil Registration (4^th NWCR) in Davao City on August 25-27, 2008 - "Tamang Rehistro, Daan sa Kinabukasan Mo" features the need to preserve the integrity of civil registration documents, ensuring that what has been recorded in the civil register are legitimate and free from procedural, administrative and clerical errors.

Mr. Tomas P. Africa, a noted expert in civil registration will talk on the opening day of the workshop (August 25) about the essentials of the registration of vital events and the measures to secure the dependability of the civil registry document. Along with this, a review on the legal, administrative and statistical uses of civil registration documents will be presented by Ms Paula Monina G. Collado, Deputy Administrator, NSO. Updates on civil registration, specifically on new civil registration laws, policies and corresponding procedures for implementation will be discussed by Ms Lourdes J. Hufana, Director, Civil Registration Department, NSO.
